*2 x EARLY BIRDS TICKETS available!!*

The more time we spend in nature, breathe well and take time to ‘pause’, we begin to recognise the benefits of being still, aware and present. Join us for an all-inclusive weekend exploring your wild and free within and living from the heart. Re-connect with your true self through Yoga, Breathwork, Foraging and some Cold Water dips (if you wish!).

Go 'wild and free' in nature with Foraging and enjoy the 'simple things' in life we've forgotten, like 'mindful eating' and night walks under the stars in the beautiful wild North Devon countryside. We've teamed up with Hands On Life to create a weekend for you to reboot, escape and unwind.

Retreat Details

EAT, SLEEP, YOGA & REPEAT

This 3-night escape will be a mindfulness journey with like-minded people, to explore your wild and free nature, with a mix of activities, from relaxing to adventurous and as much or as little as you want to do! From yoga to stimulating walks in the wild Devon countryside by day and night, foraging, yoga, mindfulness and cold water dips!

YOGA & MINDFULNESS

𑁍 Start your day with an energising and revitalising morning yoga practice, tuning in with your body and breath, the senses and reconnecting to your soul. Then a dip in the saltwater pool for some 'cold water therapy' (and warm up in the sauna after)  Or enjoy a little extra lay, or use this time to journal ...this is YOUR TIME to just "be".

𑁍 Your yoga practice will be a journey of discovery as we connect with the breath and true nature. You will be taught by our Wild & Free yoga teacher Amanda and each class will be an exploration of mindfulness and breathing techniques, tapping into your intuition, encouraging wellbeing, positivity and balance within daily life.

𑁍 Spend your free time as you choose, relax in the sitting room with a good book, go for an invigorating dip in the outdoor pool (exploring the benefits of cold water therapy!). Take a walk in nature and explore one of the many beautiful walks in the surrounding area or garden. The grounds offer endless places to explore for your own meditation, mindful walks or just a simple stroll.

You'll leave feeling inspired with tools to take away into to incorporate into your daily routine and bring more mindfulness in to your daily life.

FORAGING & NUTRITIOUS MEALS

Delve deeper into nature through a foraging adventure and discover all sorts of edible treasures! Followed by a delicious meal created with what you forage from our talented foraging chef. Bringing us closer to nature again.

Enjoy freshly prepared and nutritious homemade meals, learn to eat mindfully and enjoy every mouthful, taking time to understand the benefits of eating slowly.

LUXURIOUS TRANQUILITY

Your Yoga, Mindfulness and Foraging escape will be spent in the luxury of the unspoilt North Devon countryside, staying at The Old Rectory.

A beautiful 19th century Country House surrounded by lush greenery, in the heart of nature, with stunning views and walks (on your doorstep). Set in 5 acres of landscaped gardens and 14 acres of river meadows, nestled between Exmoor and Dartmoor.

This beautiful location offers a nurturing and comfortable environment, to unwind and 'switch off'. The house is full of beautiful art, with an amazing selection of books to read by the fire or the luxury of your room.

What I love about The Old Rectory is that it can house a lot of different energies all at the same time. For the energetic there is a small gym, gorgeous walks and tennis courts, a saltwater swimming pool for the brave) and an infrared sauna for sore muscles. For those who simply like to relax between sessions, there are plenty of quiet, inspiring spaces, amazing books and stunning gardens to meander in. Besides the delicious meals and  workshops, people can set the tone for their retreat.

  • What type of food do you offer on your retreats?
We offer hearty and nutritious vegetarian and vegan meals on our retreats, prepared with love by our amazing and passionate chefs. You will not go hungry!
  • I am a solo traveller, do you get many solo travellers?
Yes, in fact, most of our guests are solo travellers… Those that come back and join us on a retreat tend to come back with someone they met on a previous retreat/adventure and we get a lot of repeat customers who welcome you into the Wild & Free gang and love to share their first retreat experiences with you.
  • What are the arrival and departure times? Can I drop my bags off early?
This varies from venue to venue, but typically arrival is between 5-6 pm and departure at 9 am. During coronavirus, we are unable to take early arrivals and bag drop-offs, and the departure time is to be adhered to, as we need to allow and respect the time needed for the wonderful cleaning team to get in and make all venues covid safe.
  • I do not have my own transport. Can I get to you by Public Transport?
All our retreats and adventures are in accessible locations and can be reached by public transport. So, get in touch about the retreat or adventure you are looking to attend, and we can help you with this! If you would like to share a taxi with someone from a train station, in most cases there are usually a couple of people using public transport, so we can connect you to make those arrangements together and share costs.
  • Can I secure my spot without full payment?
Yes, you can. Instead of a full payment, book your retreat or adventure with a 30% deposit; the remaining payment can either be paid in full 3 months prior to the retreat OR split the payment over monthly instalments (interest-free, no extra charges), making it super affordable. Enter DEPOSIT into the box on the payment section, which will appear after the form, so once you click on 'book now' on the online booking form. Please note; All deposits are non-refundable, and we always recommend you familiarise yourself with our T&Cs before booking: https://www.wildandfreeadventures.co.uk/termsandconditions
  • What if I have to cancel?
While we hope you don’t have to, things happen! Most of all we’d hate for you to miss out on a Wild & Free Adventure but if you did have to, please make yourself familiar with our T&C’s and deposits are non-refundable. https://www.wildandfreeadventures.co.uk/termsandconditions
  • Is there a waiting list in case of a cancellation for a retreat that is showing as sold out?
Yes, and we recommend adding your contact details to the waiting list, as well as adding the retreat/adventure you are interested in, plus any other specifics to this form i.e. Surf and yoga only, or Shared, Private room, etc. This will help us to contact you about what you are interested in. Please find our waiting list here: https://www.wildandfreeadventures.co.uk/waitinglist
  • Could I extend my stay if I wanted to?
We often have guests ask this question and if you contact us in enough time this can likely be arranged. All our retreats and adventures are in sought-after locations and often are fully booked way in advance. However we have been able to accommodate previous guests who’ve asked this and even if we couldn't accommodate you at the same venue, there might be some suggestions we could offer you nearby, so contact us at wildandfreeadventue@gmail.com
  • How big are your groups?
It varies from retreat to retreat but on average 8-12 people. Wild & Free Adventures are all about small groups as we feel it enhances the experience and you get to know each other, we can spend time getting to know you all and it creates a much more comfortable and relaxed experience.
  • If I have any dietary requirements or allergies, can these be catered for?
Our chefs can cater for all dietary requirements and we pride ourselves on this! We ask everyone for any dietary requirements upon booking and check again the week leading up to the retreat and things change! We even ask what your milk preferences are. It is important to us that you feel fully catered for and this is the beauty of having a private chef on our retreats!
  • Is there a sample schedule available for the retreat/adventure?
Yes, and to give you one example: see a typical Surf & Yoga Retreat below. Upon booking, we send you your information pack with a sample schedule, along with specific information on location details, as well as tips and advice for your retreat (covering FAQs) Sample schedule: 07:30 - 08.45: Morning Yoga 09:00 - 09:45: Breakfast 10.30 - 12.30: Surfing 13:00 -14:00: Nutritious & delicious Lunch 14:30 - 17.30: FREE TIME / Massages Treatments 18:00 - 19.15: Evening Yoga 19.30 - 20.15: Nourishing Dinner
